  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Pie Dough

    Roll the chilled dough into a circle and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Press gently and trim edges. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.

    Melt butter in a pan over medium heat until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Add 1 tbsp water and let it cool slightly.

  5. Make the Filling

    In a bowl, whisk together:
    Corn sugar, eggs, brown butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
    Mix until smooth and glossy.

  6. Assemble the Pie

    Spread toasted pecans evenly over the pie crust. Pour the prepared filling on top, ensuring even distribution.
