  • 2 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice (preferably freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 oz club soda or grapefruit soda (to top)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Salt (for rimming the glass)
  • 1 grapefruit slice or lime wedge (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Glass

    Take a lime wedge and gently rub it along the rim of your glass. Dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly.

    Fill the glass with large, fresh ice cubes. Larger ice melts slower, keeping your drink chilled without watering it down quickly.

    Add 2 oz of Don Julio Blanco tequila directly into the glass.

    Pour in 2 oz grapefruit juice and 0.5 oz lime juice.
