Ingredients

For the Slime Base
  • ½ cup white school glue or clear glue
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Glitter or foam beads (optional)
Borax Activator
  • 1 tsp borax powder
  • 1 cup warm water

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Spoon or craft stick
  • Airtight Container
  • Small cup for borax solution

Method

  1. Prepare the Borax Solution

In a small cup, combine the borax powder with warm water. Stir until the borax fully dissolves and the water becomes mostly clear.
  2. Make the Glue Mixture

Pour the glue into a mixing bowl. Add food coloring or glitter if desired and stir well.
  3. Activate the Slime

Slowly add small amounts of the borax solution into the glue mixture while stirring continuously. The slime will begin to form immediately.
  4. Mix Until Combined

Continue stirring until the slime starts pulling away from the sides of the bowl and forms a gooey texture.
  5. Knead the Goop

Use your hands to knead the slime for 2–3 minutes until smooth, stretchy, and less sticky.
  6. Adjust Texture

If the slime feels sticky, add a few extra drops of borax solution. If too stiff, add a small amount of warm water and knead again.
  7. Enjoy Your Borax Goop

Stretch, squish, and play with your homemade borax goop for fun sensory entertainment.

Notes

Notes

  • Clear glue creates transparent slime while white glue creates fluffy opaque slime.
  • Do not add too much borax solution at once or the slime may become rubbery.
  • Always supervise young children during slime play.
  • Store slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh longer.

Recipe Tips for Best Results

  • Use warm water so the borax dissolves properly.
  • Kneading helps improve slime texture dramatically.
  • Add activator slowly to avoid over-activating the slime.
  • For extra stretchy slime, let it rest for 5 minutes before playing.
